Position Overview:
As a Server at Signal Brewing Company, you will be an integral part of our team, delivering exceptional service and creating memorable moments for our guests. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and professional establishment where passion for craft beer meets unparalleled hospitality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Guest Experience: Provide friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable service to guests, ensuring that every visit exceeds expectations and leaves a lasting impression.
- Beer Knowledge: Demonstrate a passion for craft beer and our brewery's offerings, confidently guiding guests through our menu, making recommendations, and answering questions.
- Order Accuracy: Accurately take food and beverage orders, enter them into the POS system, and communicate with the kitchen and bar to ensure timely delivery of orders.
- Upselling: Proactively suggest food and beverage pairings, promotions, and merchandise to enhance the guest experience and maximize sales opportunities.
- Cleanliness and Presentation: Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including tables, chairs, and condiment stations, to create a welcoming and inviting atmosphere.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with fellow team members, including bartenders, kitchen staff, and management, to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
- Compliance: Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and alcohol service regulations to promote a safe and responsible environment for guests and staff.
- Flexibility: Be willing to assist in other areas of the brewery, including event support, retail sales, and brewery tours, as needed.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment is preferred but not required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a genuine desire to connect with guests and create positive experiences.
- Strong multitasking abilities and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
- Basic knowledge of craft beer styles and brewing processes is an asset.
- Smart Serve certification (or willingness to obtain upon hiring).
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
