We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Used Car Manager to join our dealership. As the Used Car Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the sales and operations of our used car department. Your primary goal will be to maximize profitability and ensure customer satisfaction.
Duties:
- Manage the entire used car sales process, from inventory acquisition to customer delivery
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to meet or exceed sales targets
- Evaluate market trends and adjust pricing and inventory accordingly
- Provide sales support and guidance to the sales team
- Upsell additional products and services to customers
- Maintain a strong sales pipeline and follow up with leads in a timely manner
- Ensure all paperwork, contracts, and documentation are accurate and complete
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction
- Conduct regular performance evaluations of the sales team
- Negotiate deals with customers and vendors
- Monitor and analyze sales data to identify areas for improvement
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in automotive sales management, preferably in a used car dealership
- Strong knowledge of the automotive market, including pricing trends and competitor analysis
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on building long-term relationships
- Proficient in math calculations for pricing, profit margins, and financial analysis
- Ability to lead, motivate, and coach a team of sales professionals
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to close deals effectively
- Familiarity with dealership software systems and CRM tools
