With our headquarters in Belleville, Ontario, and offices in British Columbia, the Netherlands, China, and Australia, we are constantly pushing the envelope related to conveyor systems, self-loading/unloading ships, stackers, stacker-reclaimers and shiploaders.
Role & Responsibilities
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic Part-Time Receptionist to join our team in Belleville, Ontario. This is a six-month contract position with the intention of a contract extension and/or opportunities available within other functional areas when the contract ends.
The hours are 10:00AM – 2:00PM weekly (20 hours minimum per week), with the flexibility to take on more hours as business needs shift. You will have an opportunity to cover for staff when they are away from the office (ie. sick, personal, vacation, etc.) so more hours will be available on an as needed basis.
As a member of our Administrative team, you will play a crucial role in delivering excellent customer service to the public, our clients, and EMS-Tech Inc. staff.
Here are some of the things you’ll be working on:
- Providing support on the reception desk: answering and redirecting incoming calls, greeting individuals, fielding inquiries, and relaying messages where appropriate.
- Receiving and distributing mail, managing incoming/outgoing faxes, and scheduling courier pickups and deliveries.
- Scheduling meetings and managing conference room bookings as required.
- Managing office supplies and consumables inventory for two office buildings.
- Maintaining the keys and the sign out log for company vehicles and 407 transponders.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Completion of a Business or Office Administration Diploma is an asset.
- 1-3 years’ experience as an administrative assistant or receptionist is an asset.
- Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills with strong attention to detail.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively and accurately with suppliers, customers and team members with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) with the ability to learn new software as needed.
