About the position:

The Supervisor of Membership Services is responsible for the recruitment, orientation and introduction of new members and the corresponding supporting services. The key responsibilities include the supervision of the Membership Service area ensuring the delivery of high quality service. Supervisory responsibilities include all membership registration and program sign-up; provide leadership to Membership Service and retention initiatives that support the 7 Steps to Selling and MGI.

  • Lead Trainer of ActiveNet software for the association in Belleville
  • Ensure sound supervision of the Membership Service areas in Belleville
  • Hiring, training and supervising the Membership Service employees and volunteers
  • Ensure the highest level of customer service and retention strategies are implemented with on-going training sessions that support MGI
  • Manage Membership information systems – front end membership lead (i.e. day to day problem solving, overseeing operator input and results, ensure programs are loaded prior to each session, employee training)
  • Assists in the production of the branches program brochures and other related promotional material
  • Manages the Membership Assistance program
  • Manages Contra, Insurance, group and special membership arrangements
  • Manage refund/cancellation requests
  • Develop and manage budget pertaining to membership revenue and Membership Service expenses
  • Review cashouts and take deposits to the Bank

Qualifications, Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

  • University/College degree in a related field
  • A minimum of 5 years in the customer service and sales industry
  • Program development experience
  • Sales and customer service experience
  • Program and budget management experience
  • Leadership development experience
  • Previous experience with supervision of staff

Working Conditions:

  • Variable hours required (includes some evenings and weekends)
  • Multiple time and task pressures
  • May include out of town meetings, training, travel and work
  • Requirement of Standard First Aid and CPR
  • Satisfactory vulnerable sector check
  • Access to a reliable vehicle with current Driver’s Licence

Reporting Relationship:

Reports to the General Manager, Belleville Branch

Direct Reports: Full and Part Time Membership Employees at the Belleville Branch
