- Observe and operate gauges to verify specified processing conditions and make adjustments to process variables such as cooking times, ingredient inputs, flow rates, and temperature settings
- Maintain shift log of production and other data
- Learn and apply craft and culinary skills to ensure specific nuances are attended to and to adjust to produce a “better than” quality and consistency. Set up and adjust food processing kettles and surrounding tanks
- Operate single-function machines to mix and blend to process food products
- Check products to ensure conformance to company standards and clear machine blockages as required
- Record production information such as quantity, date, and type of products blended. corrective machine adjustments, clean machines, and immediate work areas
- Work is performed indoors, where safety measures must be followed to prevent injury from machinery, tools, spillage, and heat
- Initial training will include WHMIS, annual training, and health and safety training
- Do a pre-operational audit to ensure the proper functioning of all critical components of the system, sanitation meets the standard, and pre-rinse all kettles, pipes, pumps, and buffer tanks before and after production
- Set up system for the specific product requirements
- Check inline magnets and filters for cleanliness
- Come to work in good physical and mental condition in order to execute duties exceptionally well and safely

Operate multi-function process control machinery through control panels or other control systems to mix, blend, cook or otherwise process food products.
