Youth Habilitation Quinte Inc.’s Employment Program known as Career Edge, requires a Career Coach for their Career Exploration, Planning and Experience Program. This is a full-time contract position commencing as soon as possible and ending March 31, 2024, with the possibility of permanence. The Career Coach will be required to deliver the program virtually and in-person to youth residing within youth residing within Lennox & Addington and Hastings & Prince Edward Counties.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting participants by delivering the key components of the Career Exploration, Planning and Experience Program, in particular employment workshops, quality employment opportunities, job coaching and retention skills, and post-secondary exploration and assisting with the application process to post-secondary schools. The Career Coach will be required to promote the program to secondary schools and to other youth organizations. The successful candidate must exhibit strong communication skills (written and verbal), have experience in curriculum development for both in-person and virtual delivery, have expertise in the delivery of career and interest testing and demonstrated experience working with youth. Candidates must have knowledge of the local labour market and labour legislation.
Qualifications: University Degree in a related field and workshop facilitation experience is preferred. A valid driver’s licence and vehicle is required.
