QUINTE BALLET SCHOOL OF CANADA is seeking a part-time employee for the following program.
Quinte Ballet School of Canada (QBSC) is hiring a reception and administrative support person for the Assemblé Dance Program. The role requires experience in working with members of the public. The position of Assemblé Dance Program Administrator (ADPA) supports the Assemblé Dance Program Coordinator (ADPC) with registrations, student attendance, marketing, direct communications with parents and families, problem solving, and assisting with various activities. You will assist with maintenance of sound equipment, laptops, monitors, and other equipment used during Zoom meetings. You have a strong ability to work independently as the role is primarily during the teaching hours of the Assemblé Dance Program. An understanding or background in dance is considered an asset. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and take on tasks at the last minute are required.
A vulnerable sector check is required for this position. If you have not obtained one within the last two years, QBSC will cover the cost of this check upon presentation of a receipt and the completed check. A valid drivers’ licence and access to a vehicle are also assets to this role.
The position is responsible for assisting with performances by preparing ticket information, selling tickets when required, assisting with front of house ticket sales as well as entry to the venue. The position will be asked to proofread programs and other various documents for accuracy. This position reports directly to the Assemblé Dance Program Coordinator but also responds to the needs of the Artistic Director and the General Manager in their roles to fulfill the mission of the school.
This is a part-time position with anticipated hours of work being between 5:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. Monday to Thursday, for up to 16 hours per week. Weekend work is required during performances.
Qualifications/requirements:
• Competency with Microsoft Office
• Experience with Zoom meetings as a facilitator
• Standard First Aid Certification
• Police Vulnerable Sector check
• Confident speaking to individuals, groups and on the telephone
• Capacity to work under pressure and when necessary, in collaboration with others
Rate: $15.50/hr.
