Summary & Job Duties
The position of rockwork technician involves molding, casting, sculpting, finishing and installing fiber reinforced concrete for:
- Playground production items fabricated in our facility.
- On-site fabrication of steel infrastructure, concrete spraying and finishing concrete rockwork.
- Fabrication and installation of prefab concrete panels and on-site finishing.
Ideal candidates for rockwork technicians will have a working knowledge of all skills and techniques required to replicate and install rock formations. This includes the use of related equipment and materials used in the process.

Requirements
- 3 to 5 years experience in exhibit fabrication preferred.
- Basic welding experience and metal fabrication.
- Experience taking molds of large surfaces in the field.
- Experience running inline concrete pumps and mixers.
- Concrete sculpting and carving experience.
- Fabrication of steel frames in the shape of rocks or other themed environments.
- Casting fiber reinforced concrete into molds.
- Installing and seaming precast rock panels on location.
- Texturing and acid etching the precast panels on location.
- Ability to work as a part of a team.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- In addition, casting plastic composite components.
Work Conditions
- Hours 7AM to 3 PM 5 days a week.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50lbs.
- Travel to off-site locations may be required.
- Safety equipment will be required, e.g., steel-toed safety boots, safety glasses/goggles, etc.
- Overtime as required.
- Hazards associated with the trade.

Important
Have or can obtain a passport for international travel as it may be required for installation or for work in remote areas to take molds from actual geological formations from around the world. Must have a clean Police Record as typical clientele are public facilities such as museums, zoos, aquaria, and theme parks.
