Youth Habilitation Quinte Inc. requires a Supportive Housing Counsellor to fill a temporary full-time position
from March 9, 2026 to September 6, 2027. This is an existing position with a starting hourly wage of $24.923.
Who We Are
Youthab is a community based non-profit organization established in 1984 with services designed around 3
pillars; housing, mental health, and employment. We support, connect, and empower people to obtain
and maintain safe and affordable housing, good mental health, and employment facilitating their transition to
independence. Our programs operate under the names of Youthab, Career Edge, and Next Step Housing
Connection.
Who You Are
As a Supportive Housing Counsellor, you are a compassionate and reliable professional who provides
programming and supervision to young adults aged 16 to 24 in a semi-independent living environment. You
bring strong communication skills, adaptability, and the ability to work flexible hours while supporting
clients through assessments, case management, and crisis situations. You are comfortable facilitating both
group and individual programming and are committed to empowering young adults to build life skills,
stability, and independence.

Qualifications:
• Preference will be given to an individual with a Community College Diploma in a humam services
field with a minimum of two years’ experience working with children and youth.
• A valid driver’s licence and First Aid and CPR training and certification are required.
