Vehicle Acquisition Consultant

Lange & Fetter Motors | Trenton, ON

Lange & Fetter Motors is looking for a motivated Vehicle Acquisition Consultant to join our growing team.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for sourcing and purchasing quality pre-owned vehicles from private sellers through online marketplaces such as Facebook Marketplace, Kijiji, and other digital platforms. If you’re self-motivated, enjoy building relationships, and have an eye for spotting great inventory, we’d love to hear from you.

What You’ll Do

  • Search online marketplaces daily for quality used vehicle opportunities.
  • Contact private sellers to gather vehicle details, ownership history, and pricing information.
  • Evaluate vehicle condition, market value, and resale potential.
  • Negotiate purchase prices to maximize dealership profitability.
  • Schedule and complete vehicle inspections, appraisals, and test drives.
  • Verify ownership documentation, vehicle history reports, and lien status.
  • Coordinate vehicle transportation to the dealership when required.
  • Maintain accurate records of leads, purchases, and acquisition activity.
  • Monitor local market trends and identify high-demand inventory.
  • Build lasting relationships with private sellers and referral sources.
  • Work closely with our sales and inventory teams to help maintain a strong selection of pre-owned vehicles.

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous automotive sales, purchasing, or dealership experience is an asset.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Familiarity with Facebook Marketplace, Kijiji, and other online vehicle marketplaces.
  • Knowledge of used vehicle values and current market trends.
  • Ability to assess vehicle condition and identify potential issues.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working independently.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
