Permanent Part-Time COOK POSITION

Crown Ridge Health Care Services Inc. operates The Riverine Retirement Home, located in Napanee, Ontario. The Riverine is home to 79 residents and employs more than 40 employees.

Our team is currently hiring a:

  • Permanant Part-Time Cook

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  • Participates with other members of the Nutritional Care Team in meeting the nutritional needs of all residents in the home
  • Preparation of menu and snack recipes and portion sizes
  • Follow and stay up to date with Public Health Guidelines
  • Plating meals and meal delivery to the residents
  • Clearing and cleaning dishes, general cleaning duties
  • Maintain positive relationships with staff, residents, families, and public
  • Follows established procedures for handling meal service to and from isolated areas
  • Build open and honest relationships with communication
  • Be aligned with our company values and culture
  • Work in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and follow all Crown Ridge Healthcare Health & Safety
  • policies, procedures, and legislations
  • Ability to perform duties in accordance with the Retirement Home Regulatory Act

WHAT WILL YOU BRING ALONG

  • Vulnerable sector check that is less than 6 months old at the time of hire
  • TB test steps 1 and 2 proof and 1 step in last 6 months until two step obtained in last year.
  • Good communication skills with individuals at all levels of the organization
  • Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally always
  • Able to work efficiently as a part of a team as well as independently
  • Good organizational, time management, and prioritizing skills
  • Strong work ethic and positive team attitude

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

  • Experience in institutional, health care, restaurant, or hospitality cooking
  • Red Seal Chef, Culinary Management or Equivalent as an asset but not a requirement
  • Current Food Handlers Certificate or willingness to obtain
