Quinte Restaurant is currently seeking a Short Order Cook to join their team. They are seeking someone who excels in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about preparing high-quality meals. Experience is preferred, but they are happy to provide training for the right candidate.
Requirements:
- 1 year of cooking experience (preferred)
- Food Handler certification (SafeCheck, Food Safe, or equivalent) is an asset+
Job Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Perform food prep tasks including chopping, slicing, portioning, and assembling ingredients.
Ensure food quality, temperature, and presentation meet restaurant standards. - Set up and stock cooking stations; maintain cleanliness and sanitation throughout shifts.
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
- Assist with opening/closing duties and follow all food safety and handling procedures.
