Job Overview

We are currently seeking experienced Personal Support Workers (PSWs) to join our casual / relief staffing pool supporting our Long-Term Care homes in Brighton, Campbellford, and Picton.

This role includes a combination of pre-scheduled shifts and short-notice coverage shifts to support staffing needs and continuity of resident care. Availability to accept same-day or next-day shifts is essential.

This position is well suited for PSWs who value flexible work, have Long-Term Care experience, and are able to work across multiple sites as required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care to residents in accordance with individual care plans and LTC standards
  • Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding, and mobility
  • Support resident comfort, dignity, and safety at all times
  • Observe and report changes in resident condition to nursing staff
  • Work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary care team
  • Respond effectively to short-notice coverage shifts as required
  • Follow infection prevention and control practices and workplace policies
  • Complete required documentation accurately and in a timely manner

Qualifications

  • Valid Personal Support Worker (PSW) certificate from a recognized program
  • Minimum of 1 year recent experience working in a Long-Term Care setting is required
  • Ability to work casual / relief shifts, including short-notice coverage (same day or next day)
  • Ability to reliably commute to Brighton, Campbellford, and Picton
  • Knowledge of Long-Term Care standards and resident-centred care
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and time-management skills
  • Current immunizations as per organizational and public health requirements
  • Successful completion of a criminal background check with vulnerable sector screening

Job Type: Casual

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8 – 40 per week
