Mirmil Products is seeking a skilled Metal Fabricator to lead and coordinate day-to-day operations while driving long-term efficiency in our metal fabrication processes. This role works closely with the Metal Fabrication Supervisor to ensure quality, productivity, and continuous improvement.

Monday – Friday, 7:30am – 4:30pm with overtime

Main Responsibilities:

  • Create, monitor and maintain a well kept, organized and safe work environment while promoting and enforcing adherence to safety guidelines, policies, programs, laws, regulations and protocols
  • Provide hands on assistance with fabrication and assembly of multiple architectural millwork configurations
  • Fabricate intricate custom metal projects as per architectural drawings, specifications and work orders
  • Cut, fit, weld, punch, drill, shape, join, assemble and work with various grades of metal (steel, aluminum, stainless, brass, bronze, copper) to tight tolerances
  • Execute cuts and welds using various equipment including MIG, TIG, plasma and oxy/acetylene
  • Cut materials using power tools or by hand
  • Set up, program (as required), operate and maintain various machines and tools using proper techniques used in the production of custom metal projects including press brake, shear, saws, CNC, drills, punch, grinder, overhead and jib cranes
  • Inspect and ensure machines and equipment are running optimally including cleanliness, temperatures, grease points, and lock points
  • Read and precisely follow architectural drawings, specifications and work orders

What You Offer:

  • Experience working with all metals including steel, aluminum, stainless, brass, bronze and copper
  • Experience with various metal machines
  • Ability to accurately read and interpret architectural plans, drawings and specifications
  • Ability to take direction and work with minimal supervision
  • Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills
  • Demonstrated safe use of power and hand tools
  • Strong collaboration and coordination abilities to pull groups together to achieve success
  • Mechanical inclination
  • Fluidity to work with projects based on the imperial system of measurement
  • Key Requirements (education/certifications/licences/passport/clean drivers abstract):
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in the fitting/welder discipline with an emphasis in decorative metal
  • Ability to read blueprint drawings
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
