Lennox and Addington Resources for Children

Lennox and Addington Resources for Children (LARC) requires a detail-oriented Administrative Assistant with a primary focus is supporting LARC’s school-age programs, including data entry, enrollment tracking, attendance records, and administrative coordination. This role will also provide administrative support to other programs and services across the agency as needed.

Educational Requirements:

  • Office Administration, Accounting /Bookkeeping Certificate/Diploma an asset
  • 1–2 years of administrative or data entry experience

Qualifications:

  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent attention to detail and organization
  • Experience in childcare is an asset
  • Experience maintaining website/social media content is considered an asset
  • Basic IT troubleshooting experience is considered an asset
  • Awareness of the Child Care and Early Years Act, How Does Learning Happen? Ontario’s Pedagogy for the Early Years, and emergent curriculum is considered an asset
  • Valid driver’s license and vehicle

Requirements:

  • Work within the established policies and procedures of the organization
  • Maintain records in a neat and accurate manner and prepare reports as required
  • Maintain positive relationships with parents, children, childcare providers, co-workers and community agencies
  • Perform telephone reception, record keeping and filing, smooth operation of office equipment, i.e. photocopier, computer, telephone system, arrange and/or facilitate incoming and outgoing mail
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member to achieve outcomes and deadlines.
  • Ability to balance demands/priorities of the position.
  • Demonstrate professional work attitude and a positive work ethic while on the job and community.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $39,403.00-$47,847.00 per year
