We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Snow Plow Operator to join our team. This position is seasonable but could lead to a permanent position within the company if you have landscaping experience. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring safe and efficient snow removal from various roadways, parking lots, and other designated areas during winter weather conditions. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to operate heavy equipment effectively.

Responsibilities: Operate snow plow trucks and other heavy equipment to clear snow and ice from roads, parking lots and sidewalks. Monitor weather conditions and respond promptly to changing weather conditions to maintain safe driving surfaces. Perform routine maintenance checks on equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety. Communicate effectively with team members and dispatch regarding route status and any issues encountered. Load and unload materials as needed, ensuring proper handling of equipment. Assist in the training of new operators as necessary. Maintain accurate records of work performed, including hours worked and materials used.

Experience: Proven experience in commercial driving, with a valid Driver’s License and a Clean Driver’s Abstract. Familiarity with operating various types of vehicles such as dump trucks, box trucks, tractor-trailers, or heavy equipment. Previous experience in snow removal or related fields is highly desirable. Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor issues with equipment is a plus. Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and supervisors. Experience in warehouse operations or freight handling is beneficial.
