Highfalls Outfitters - Belleville

Highfalls Outfitters – Belleville is seeking a skilled Marine Mechanic to join their team.  They are looking for either a certified or apprentice-level technician, ideally with experience working on Mercury outboard motors.

About the Role
This is a likely full-time position where you’ll work on a variety of marine equipment, primarily outboard engines, performing diagnostics, repairs, maintenance, and general service on boats and trailers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair issues on outboard motors (Mercury preferred)
  • Perform new engine PDIs
  • Re-carpet older boats and complete small restoration tasks
  • Service trailer bearings and perform electrical work on trailers
  • General labour and shop tasks as needed
  • Conduct on-water engine testing when required

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of marine mechanic experience preferred
  • Experience specifically with outboard engines
  • Marine industry background required
  • Strong diagnostic and problem‑solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Requirements

  • Valid driver’s licence
  • Access to a pickup truck is preferred
  • Valid boating licence for on-water testing
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail
