Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Cashier to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing excellent customer service while efficiently processing transactions. This position requires a strong understanding of medication administration, patient care, and medical terminology, particularly in a pharmacy or hospital setting. As a Cashier, you will be responsible for ensuring a smooth checkout experience for our customers.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide assistance as needed during their visit.
- Accurately process transactions using the cash register and handle cash, credit, and debit card payments.
- Maintain knowledge of medications and medical terminology to assist customers with inquiries related to prescriptions and over-the-counter products.
- Ensure that the checkout area is clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.
- Collaborate with pharmacy technicians and other staff to support patient care initiatives.
- Address customer concerns or complaints promptly and professionally.
- Adhere to all safety and health regulations within the pharmacy or hospital environment.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a cashier or in a customer service role is preferred.
- Familiarity with medication administration and patient care practices is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of medical terminology is beneficial for effective communication with healthcare professionals and patients.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on providing outstanding customer service.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: $16.55-$18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 8 – 15 per week

- 4 hour shift
- Evening shift
- Every Weekend
