Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Cashier to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing excellent customer service while efficiently processing transactions. This position requires a strong understanding of medication administration, patient care, and medical terminology, particularly in a pharmacy or hospital setting. As a Cashier, you will be responsible for ensuring a smooth checkout experience for our customers.

Duties

  • Greet customers warmly and provide assistance as needed during their visit.
  • Accurately process transactions using the cash register and handle cash, credit, and debit card payments.
  • Maintain knowledge of medications and medical terminology to assist customers with inquiries related to prescriptions and over-the-counter products.
  • Ensure that the checkout area is clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.
  • Collaborate with pharmacy technicians and other staff to support patient care initiatives.
  • Address customer concerns or complaints promptly and professionally.
  • Adhere to all safety and health regulations within the pharmacy or hospital environment.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a cashier or in a customer service role is preferred.
  • Familiarity with medication administration and patient care practices is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology is beneficial for effective communication with healthcare professionals and patients.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on providing outstanding customer service.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated.

Pay: $16.55-$18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8 – 15 per week

Schedule:

  • 4 hour shift
  • Evening shift
  • Every Weekend
