Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Food Runner/Supervisor to join our vibrant hospitality team. This role is integral to ensuring smooth restaurant operations, exceptional customer service, and efficient food delivery. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a solid background in food service, and the ability to manage both front-of-house and supervisory responsibilities. Experience in restaurant management, food handling, and team supervision is highly valued. This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead a team while maintaining a hands-on approach to food service excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate delivery of food orders to guests
  • Supervise and support food runners and service staff to uphold service standards
  • Assist in food preparation and cooking as needed, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met
  • Manage POS transactions using Micros POS or similar systems with accuracy and efficiency
  • Oversee daily restaurant operations, including supervising staff, managing customer interactions, and ensuring food safety compliance
  • Handle cash transactions accurately and maintain proper cash handling procedures
  • Train new team members on food safety, service protocols, and restaurant policies
  • Monitor restaurant cleanliness, food handling procedures, and overall safety standards in accordance with health regulations
  • Provide leadership during busy service hours, resolving customer concerns promptly and professionally
  • Support interviewing and onboarding of new staff members to build a strong team environment

Requirements

  • Proven experience in food service, restaurant management, or hospitality industries; supervising experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety regulations
  • Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle challenging situations diplomatically
  • Leadership qualities with experience in team management and supervising staff members
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy hours while maintaining attention to detail
  • Previous experience in hotel or barista roles is a plus but not required
  • Strong communication skills and a professional demeanor
  • Knowledge of food handling procedures and adherence to health standards
