Job Overview
First Peoples Energy is a First Nations Owned and Operated fuel distribution company located on the Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory. We operate 24 hours a day 7 days a week. We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Fuel Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting dangerous goods safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and regulations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills and attention to detail. The driver will also be expected to perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance.

Responsibilities

Operate heavy-duty trucks to transport goods to designated locations.
Ensure the safe loading and unloading various fuel products.
Ensure TDG requirements are followed and maintained.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding schedules and any issues that arise during transport.
Adhere to all local, provincial, and federal regulations regarding transportation.

Requirements

Valid Commercial Driver’s License Class AZ is required.
Experience in commercial driving with a clean driving record.
Knowledge of fuel handling procedures and safety protocols.
Strong problem-solving skills
Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Ability to work all shifts as required including weekends and holidays.

Renumeration and Benefits

We offer weekly payroll based on hourly pay with overtime. Hourly rate will depend on experience. We do offer a company paid benefits plan including vision, dental, and health.
