We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Boom Truck Operator to join our team.

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in delivering various building materials to our valued customers, ensuring timely and safe transportation and delivery. This role requires excellent customer service skills, a strong commitment to safety, and the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with our clients.

Job Description

The driver will collaborate with other members of Encore Drywall Material Supplies to provide exceptional service and customer satisfaction by delivering complete, accurate and on-time deliveries while representing the company in a safe, and highly professional manner that complies with MTO and other applicable regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate boom trucks to deliver drywall and building materials to various locations.
  • Load and unload materials safely and efficiently.
  • Ensure all deliveries are completed on time and meet customer expectations.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and equipment.
  • Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe work environment.
  • Communicate effectively with customers and team members to resolve any issues that may arise during deliveries.
  • Document delivery, accuracy, and receipt of orders by the customer according to company directives and report any discrepancies to company
  • Maintain and monitor truck maintenance and driving record requirements such as daily logbooks, and maintain required documents for safety, security, and quality processes
  • Safely operate boom and unload building materials safely always being aware of surroundings
  • Follow company policies and procedures, MTO and other applicable regulations.
  • Ability to work weekends when required.
  • Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

  • Valid DZ license with a safe driving record.
  • Experience operating boom trucks or similar heavy equipment.
  • Professional demeanor.
  • Effective listening, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Strong commitment to safety and following safety protocols.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with customers and team members.
  • Ability to lift heavy materials and work in various weather conditions.
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
  • Knowledge of local delivery routes and areas is a plus.
