During the prime season, operating the dump truck will be your primary responsibility. In the off season, your focus will shift to serving as a salt and snow plow operator. Carpentry skills will be utilized as needed or to supplement your hours when required.

 

Dump Truck Driver Responsibilities, you will be responsible for operating heavy equipment and transporting materials to and from construction sites.

  • Operate dump trucks to transport materials such as dirt, gravel, or asphalt to and from construction sites
  • Ensure the proper securing of loads to prevent shifting or damage during transportation
  • Perform routine maintenance on dump trucks, including checking fluid levels, inspecting tires, and reporting any mechanical issues
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols while operating the dump truck
  • Communicate with supervisors and team members to coordinate transportation schedules and ensure timely delivery of materials
  • Complete necessary paperwork, such as delivery logs or inspection reports

 

Snow plow Operator Responsibilities, you will be responsible for operating snow removal equipment to clear and maintain parking lots during winter weather conditions. They must monitor weather conditions and respond to snow and ice events in a timely manner.

  • Operating snow plow equipment to remove ice and snow from assigned areas.
  • Ensuring that assigned properties are adequately and safely serviced when required.
  • Inspecting equipment regularly before leaving for a shift.
  • Complying with safety precautions and maintaining clean equipment.
  • Following all safety rules, policies, and regulations.
  • Working independently with minimal supervision to complete the job.
  • Logging services when on site.
  • Reporting all incidents involving equipment’s functioning to supervisors.

Carpenter Labourers Responsibilities, you will be responsible to assist skilled carpenters in construction projects, performing tasks such as measuring and cutting wood, assembling structures, and maintaining tools. Responsibilities include adhering to safety protocols and ensuring project completion.

  • Assist carpenters in the construction of structures such as walls, roofs, and decks.
  • Load and unload materials and tools from work trucks.
  • Operate hand and power tools such as saws, drills, and hammers.
  • Ensure job site is clean and free of debris at the end of each day.
  • Follow safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and schematics as needed.
  • Measure and cut materials to specified dimensions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the carpenter or construction supervisor.

Requirements

  • Proven experience operating dump trucks or similar heavy equipment
  • Knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance procedures
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
  • Excellent time management skills to ensure timely delivery of materials
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans
  • Proficiency in using hand and power tools, such as drills, saws, hammers, etc.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures related to carpentry work
  • Physical strength and stamina to perform manual labor tasks, such as lifting heavy materials, standing for extended periods, and working in various weather conditions

Must be willing to be a team player, assist with all jobs on the site.
