Commercial Tire Technician

Our Belleville, ON location is currently recruiting for a Commercial Tire Technician. The Commercial Tire Technician performs manual work in the repair and maintenance of tires on vehicles, heavy equipment, and machinery. The Commercial Tire Technician hold a crucial position in the organization, as they are often the primary point of contact with our customers and have a direct impact on customer’s impression of the Company.

Hourly rate based on education and/or equivalent experience.

The Commercial Tire Technician is expected to:

• Service large fleet trucks on service calls
• Diagnose problems and determine the extent of repairs required
• Inspect, repair and replace tires as required
• Use tools to ensure tire installation meets industry standards
• Complete required paper work in an accurate, legible and timely manner
• Perform Heavy Lifting
• Work outside in various weather conditions

We are on the lookout for a candidate that has excellent communication and interpersonal skills, has a strong work ethic, in addition to:

• Ontario wheel installers certificate (an asset)
• Licensed Commercial Tire Technician
• Excellent customer service skills
• Good work ethic
• Basic computer skills
• Auto service and Tire experience an asset
• Mechanical Aptitude
• Ability to work in a supervised capacity but operate independently
• Ability to work in a time sensitive environment.
• Ability to demonstrate dexterity with hand tools
• Valid Driver’s license
• Knowledge of the geographic area (streets, landmarks, etc)
• Willingness to work after hours/on call (evenings and weekends as required)

Pay: $21.00-$25.00 per hour
