HR Coordinator Tasks:

  • Provide support for employee inquiries and questions (i.e. Benefits, HRIS System, Payroll) and escalate issues as appropriate.
  • Run weekly payroll for Union population, and other tasks pertaining to union payroll.
  • Assist with time and attendance program for hourly workforce.
  • Assist with Short Term Disability submission, and work on RTW plans.
  • Aid with employee relations investigations.
  • Provide additional HR support in areas such as; policy administration ( updating policies) talent acquisition and onboarding, new hire training coordination.

Office Coordinator Tasks:

  • Assist with the creation and distribution of employee communications.
  • Assist H&S with tasks such as managing Contractors ( Contractor Training, badge creation, liability insurance tracking) assisting with incident tracking and corrections.
  • Assist Engineering department with change actions as it relates to SOPs, Policies etc. ( Current system is Enovia)
  • Coordinate and track training data for site.
  • Invoice payment.
  • Greet visitors, follow sign in/ security requirements, and direct them to the appropriate person or department by appointment. Assist customer visits.
  • Make travel arrangements for employees as needed.
  • Provide additional administrative support as required to ensure smooth office operations. Oversee front desk operations, coordinate office lunches, and plan company events to ensure smooth and efficient office functioning
  • Act as a backup for Purchasing when needed.
  • Other office administrative tasks as required.

Pay Transparency

Chemelex’s pay scale is based on the expected range of compensation for this job and the employee’s work location. Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance. Where federal, state, or local minimum wage requirements exist, employee pay will comply.

Compensation Range: $60k-$65k CAD

Depending on the position offered, employee may be eligible for other forms of compensation.
