Capital Movers & Storage in Trenton, ON is looking for a motivated individual to join our team as a full-time Warehouse Supervisor.  Moving industry experience is required, and the candidate must have a valid  AZ License.  The position involves physical activity, teamwork, leadership, accountability, and problem-solving.  Consistent attendance and punctuality are required to ensure success with this position.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Manage the inventory of household goods as well as general freight.
  • Verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments of household goods and freight.
  • Ensures shipping documents are signed and completed for the appropriate staff to process.
  • Proper security and protection of all goods received into the warehouse (pad wrap, labelling for identification, consolidation, etc.)
  • Organize household shipments for storage in warehouses.
  • Ensures access to the warehouse is controlled at all times.
  • May direct others with incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Operate forklift and power jacks.
  • Inspect and perform maintenance of forklifts and power jacks.
  • Perform housekeeping duties to ensure a clean and safe work area.
  • Ensure adherence to Company Policies and Procedures.
  • Responsible for snow removal on walkways and receiving areas.
  • Move trailers and scale trucks when necessary.
  • Load and unload trucks at residence when required.
  • Deliver general freight on occasion
  • Ensure trucks/trailers are up to date on Safety inspection dates
  • Inspect fire extinguishers monthly
  • Plow Snow and Shovel Walkways as required
  • Maintain an overall  safe work environment

Requirements:

  • Valid AZ licence with satisfactory driving record and CVOR – REQUIRED
  • Satisfactory CPIC result upon offer
  • Moving Industry experience – required
  • Forklift Experience – preferred
  • Warehouse experience – preferred
