Company Overview:

CMTC was developed in 1993 to help create the right time and place for models and talent to be educated and showcased. CMTC is affiliated with and endorsed by the world’s top modelling and talent agents, scouts, managers, producers, and casting directors. Our mandate is to educate and provide the best venue to launch the national and international careers of potential models and talent from regional centers all across Canada. For 33 years, CMTC has provided education, experience, and exposure to aspiring models/talent looking to get started in the Industry.

CMTC produces a convention in Toronto which consists of modelling, acting, singing, and dance competitions, educational workshops and seminars, an awards ceremony, and callback/interview opportunities with modelling and talent agents, scouts, managers, casting directors, and record labels, who judge CMTC competitions and conduct seminars while also searching for new models and talent to work in the modelling and entertainment industries.

Job Description:

We are searching for an energetic, positive person who enjoys successfully communicating with people and working in a fast-paced environment. The primary function of the Contestant Coordinator is to foster leads and facilitate the sales process to meet and surpass set targets for our annual CMTC event. The Contestant Coordinator will manage all related tasks with potential leads interested in attending our CMTC event as well as attendees registered to attend the event.

As Contestant Coordinator, you will be responsible for our email and phone response department including communicating with our clients on a daily basis. In this role, you will be utilizing CMTC’s registration system, managing registrant data and ensuring that the registrant’s accounts are accurately reflecting any and all communication regarding competitions, visitors, guests, and payment plans. Following up with contestants regarding their competition selections, and encouraging contestants to add competitions to ensure that each contestant gets the most out of their CMTC experience will also be the primary responsibility of the Contestant Coordinator.

Successful candidates will enjoy communicating with customers over the phone, via email, and in person. An interest and passion for the Fashion, Acting &/or Entertainment Industry is a plus. We offer the opportunity to work within the event planning and entertainment industry as well as travelling across Canada during our busy audition and seminar season (September – November). Candidates must be available to work and travel on weekends during our audition and seminar season. This position also offers the opportunity to work remotely from home.

Major Responsibilities:

Attend and assist at all scheduled CMTC audition and information seminars
Coordinate data gathering, and tracking of inquiries and leads generated through events and marketing promotions
Contact and confirm leads via telephone and e-mail
Generate new leads by communicating and answering questions from potential clients through social media, email, telephone, etc.
Assist in managing CMTC’s registration system
Assist in registering, managing and communicating with leads and registrants
Ensure contestant’s accounts are up to date – e.g., payment plans, event agreements, program book photos, competition material
Follow up with contestants regarding payment plans and event agreements to ensure registrants are meeting deadlines
Review all registrant’s competitions and encouraging contestants to add competitions to ensure they get the most out of their CMTC experience
Enforcing CMTC’s registration policies, Terms of Service, and Code of Conduct
Assist in producing promotional flyers, emails, and social media campaigns
Support the planning and execution of all aspects of CMTC’s Annual Event
Organize registrant submissions such as word documents,.pdf, mp3., and mp4 files.
Coordinate essential preparation tasks for each event
Assemble materials to promote each event – e.g., outbound emails, social media, website, promotional partnerships
Assist in the production and preparation of the event
Perform other duties as required within the company

Qualifications:

Sales, Marketing, Public Relations and/or Communications
Strong phone and interpersonal communication skills
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
Can work independently as well as in a team environment
Highly motivated individual with a strong work ethic who is also reliable
Experience working and succeeding in achieving set targets
Working knowledge of MS Teams, Google Drive, MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PPT), Canva, and Mailchimp
Fluency in English
College Diploma & / Or University Degree preferred
Passion & Understanding of the Modelling, Acting & Entertainment Industries
