Brighton Truss

We are currently seeking a full-time, permanent Production Supervisor to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily shop and yard operations at the truss plant to ensure production schedules, quality standards, and safety requirements are met. This is a hands-on leadership role that supports workflow by assisting in the shop or yard as required.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Supervise and coordinate daily shop and yard operations to meet production and delivery targets.
  • Lead, coach, and support employees to maintain a safe, efficient, and productive work environment.
  • Coordinate with designers to ensure accurate builds and material availability.
  • Monitor quality to ensure trusses are manufactured according to approved designs.
  • Track production performance, labour efficiency, and material usage; prepare basic reports as required.
  • Assist in production (willing and able to work a station), loading, unloading, staging, and material handling as required (up to 50 lbs).
  • Operate forklifts and other powered equipment as needed.
  • Verify incoming shipments and maintain inventory records; assist with physical inventories.
  • Cross train in all aspects of production management, and cover other manager duties when required (absences or vacations).

Qualifications:

  • Supervisory experience in truss manufacturing, yard operations, warehousing, or similar environment required.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret truss drawings and production schedules.
  • Forklift certification considered an asset.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Physically capable of working in a shop and outdoor yard environment, including all weather conditions.
  • Reliable, detail-oriented, and flexible with shifts and overtime as required.
  • Please note: Reliable transportation is essential as Brighton Truss is not on a bus route.
