The Opportunity:

We are currently seeking full-time General Labourer’s to join our team.

The successful candidates will be responsible for cleaning the shop, helping prepare materials for orders, using a variety of equipment and tools, and providing assistance as needed to all areas of the shop.

Duties Include:

  • General housekeeping and maintaining cleanliness throughout the shop, work vehicles, etc.
  • Read and interpret materials and equipment required for project from order forms.
  • Prepare materials required for project, includes lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling materials weighting up to 50 lb.
  • Assist with the movement of raw materials, semi-finished and finished products.
  • Operate forklift and unload raw materials from deliveries (if forklift licensed).
  • Use necessary hand and power tools as needed.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Previous Labourer experience an asset.
  • Forklift certification an asset.
  • Valid Ontario ‘G’ driver’s license an asset. Must maintain a good driving record and lawfully operate all company vehicles.
  • Punctual, dedicated, hardworking and very detail-oriented.
  • Shift flexibility and willingness to work overtime depending on season, workload, etc.
  • Competency with building tools and materials.
  • Ability to work co-operatively in a team atmosphere.
  • Physically capable of working in a shop and outdoor yard environment, including all weather conditions.
  • Please note: Reliable transportation is essential as Brighton Truss is not on a bus route.
