Belleville Diner is looking for a motivated and dependable Cook to join their team. They are a new locally owned diner that values quality food, teamwork, and consistency—and we’re looking for someone who wants to grow with the company as we continue to evolve.

Position Overview

As a Cook at Belleville Diner, you’ll be responsible for preparing and cooking menu items to their standards, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen, and working collaboratively with the rest of the team in a fast‑paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Previous cooking experience preferred (diner or short‑order experience is an asset)
  • Managing Food Safety Certification (willingness to obtain)
  • Strong work ethic and reliability
  • Ability to work well in a team‑oriented environment
  • Willingness to learn and grow with the business
  • Flexible availability, including mornings, weekends, and holidays

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook breakfast and lunch menu items
  • Follow recipes, portion control, and food safety standards
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations
  • Assist with prep work, inventory, and restocking as needed
  • Work efficiently during busy service periods
  • Contribute ideas and feedback to help improve kitchen operations and menu execution
