Facility Maintenance Technician (Afternoons)

Bardon Supplies is currently seeking a dedicated and dependable Facility Maintenance Technician (Afternoons) to join their team in Belleville. This full-time, permanent position is ideal for someone who takes pride in maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities
As a Facility Maintenance Technician, you will:

  • Perform general building maintenance and minor repairs
  • Complete daily cleaning of office, showroom, warehouse, dock, lunchroom, and common areas
  • Conduct scheduled floor cleaning throughout the facility
  • Maintain washrooms, lunchroom facilities, and garbage removal processes
  • Perform minor plumbing, drywall, painting, and carpentry repairs
  • Replace light bulbs and complete routine maintenance tasks
  • Conduct monthly safety equipment inspections, including fire extinguishers, eyewash stations, AEDs, and emergency lighting
  • Identify and report maintenance concerns and safety hazards
  • Maintain outdoor areas, including seasonal snow, ice, and debris removal
  • Monitor maintenance and cleaning supplies and communicate purchasing needs
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and facility emergencies
  • Support additional duties as required

Required

  • Grade 12 Diploma (or equivalent)
  • Minimum 3 years of building maintenance or related experience preferred
  • Valid Class G driver’s license with access to a reliable vehicle
  • Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry systems
  • Experience using handheld power tools and maintenance equipment safely
  • Forklift and/or scissor lift experience considered an asset
  • Comfortable working at heights (certification is an asset)
  • Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting and carrying materials
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and Excel
