Bardon Supplies Limited is seeking a Sheet Metal Journeyperson (308A) to join their Belleville team and help build what really matters!

Full-Time, Permanent (up to 40 hours/week)
Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Requirements:

  • Certified 308A Sheet Metal Journeyperson
  • Active member and in good standing with Skilled Trades Ontario
  • Previous experience operating a CNC Plasma Table
  • Previous forklift experience, preferred
  • Skilled in reading and interpreting blueprints
  • Able to produce precise work under pressure
  • Excellent communication in English – written and verbal
  • Good interpersonal skills, customer-focused
  • Good mathematical knowledge with an understanding of measurements
  • Able to manage multiple priorities to meet deadlines
  • Comfortable with physical work
  • Safety-conscious mindset

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepares and fabricates various components of sheet metal and ductwork for heating and air circulation (ventilation systems) according to customer specifications.
  • Interacts with customers to understand their order requirements.
  • Calculates material requirements and costs for customer orders in collaboration with sales staff.
  • Monitors Tinshop inventory and ensures adequate stocking levels and proper storage of material
  • Maintains shop tools/equipment and performs minor repairs where necessary.
  • Actively participates in and contributes to the ongoing training of helpers and apprentices.
  • Works with the shipping and receiving department to ensure safe, secure handling of materials/fittings as well as accurate tracking of incoming/outgoing orders.
  • Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures, including health & safety protocols, and utilizes all required personal protective equipment. Reports any hazards and/or defective equipment to the Manager immediately.
  • Executes any other duties required by the position or requested by the immediate supervisor.
