Qualifications & Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will:
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to Albert College’s values of individuality, compassion, integrity, diversity and inclusion, and optimism
- Possess strong curriculum development and assessment practices appropriate to students’ age and developmental stage
- Create a dynamic, engaging classroom environment that fosters curiosity and a love of learning
- Contribute to the broader school community, including student supervision during non-academic times, as well as participation in field trips and school excursions
- Be proficient in delivering instruction through electronic platforms and using digital communication tools to engage with students, parents, colleagues, and the wider community
- Hold Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) certification, with qualifications in Intermediate/Senior Mathematics or a related equivalent degree
Compensation & Placement
Salary is determined by the Albert College Faculty Grid, with compensation ranging from:
$64,272 – $83,976 for early-career faculty
$72,480 – $111,648 for faculty with 6+ years of experience
Final placement is based on recognized teaching experience, academic degrees, and Additional Qualifications (AQs).
