Crown Ridge Health Care Services Inc operates Crown Ridge Place Long-Term Care home, located in Trenton, Ontario. Crown Ridge Place is home to 122 long-term care residents and employs more than 150 employees.

Part Time Life Enrichment Aide – Activities

What will you do.

  • Must be self directed and creative. Must be able to interact positively with residents and coworkers
  • Carries out planned programs in a creative and imaginative manner, maintaining the optimum interest of the resident
  • Have a genuine interest and ability to work with residents who have a physical, behavioural, memory and/or communicative challenges
  • Must be able to work one to one with residents and coordinate small and larger group programs
  • Assists residents while promoting independence in Activities of Daily Living (ADL) through the implementation of restorative care programs as outlined in the residents plan of care
  • Must perform duties in accordance with the homes Mission and Values and the Fixing Long Term Care Act

What will you need.

  • Must have a diploma and provide proof of completion of one of the following programs;

Recreation and Leisure, Kinesiology, Therapeutic Recreation, SSW, DSW, Behavioural Science, Gerontology or diploma or degree in a related field

  • Willing to successfully completed the Food Handlers training program offered by the health unit and maintain certification
  • Life Enrichment Aide in Long Term Care Home an asset
  • Class F license is an asset
  • Vulnerable sector check that is less than 6 months old at the time of hire
  • TB test steps 1 and 2 proof and 1 step in last 6 months until two step obtained in last year.
  • Good communication skills with individuals at all levels of the organization
  • Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally always
  • Able to work efficiently as a part of a team as well as independently
  • Good organizational, time management, and prioritizing skills
  • Strong work ethic and positive team attitude
  • Be aligned with our company values and culture
  • Availability for call-in shifts to support operational needs
  • Work in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and the Long-Term Care Homes Act, and their regulations in performing duties safely and following all Crown Ridge Healthcare Health & Safety policies, procedures, and legislation
