About the role:
We are currently seeking a reliable and hardworking DZ Driver/ Labourer, to join our team. This position combines professional driving and general labour duties. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, physically capable and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and changing day to day tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
Driving Duties:
- Operate DZ vehicles safely and in compliance with all provincial and federal regulations
- Perform daily vehicle inspections and maintain accurate logbooks
- Transport materials, equipment or products to and from designated locations
- Ensure loads and properly secured and transported safely
- Communicate effectively with dispatch or supervisors regarding routes, schedules and deliveries
Labour Duties:
- Assist with loading and unloading materials
- Perform general labour tasks such as cleanup, equipment handling and basic maintenance
- Support on-site crews as needed
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Follow all company safety procedures and guidelines
Qualifications:
- Strong Mechanical aptitude, experience with tools and equipment is an asset
- Valid DZ drivers license in good standing
- Clean Drivers Abstract(recent copy required)
- Strong understand of road safety and transportation and regulations
- Ability to perform physical labour, including lifting, bending and work outdoors
- Reliable, punctual and able to work both independently and as part of a team
- Previous experience in labour or driving rols is considered an asset
- Must have dependable vehicle to get to and from work
Working Conditions:
- Combination of driving and physical labour
- Outdoor work in various weather conditions
- Occasional overtime or weekend work depending on operational needs
