Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team. As a Barista, you will play a vital role in creating an inviting atmosphere for our customers while preparing high-quality beverages and food items. Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and food items according to established recipes and standards.
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system efficiently for order taking and payment processing.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, including equipment, utensils, and dining spaces.
- Assist customers with menu selections and provide recommendations based on their preferences.
- Monitor inventory levels of food and beverage supplies, reporting any shortages or needs to management.
- Adhere to food safety and handling guidelines to ensure the health and safety of customers.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.
Skills
- Previous experience in the food service or food industry is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations.
- Proficiency in using POS systems for order entry and payment processing.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively during busy periods.
- Ability to prepare food items with attention to detail and presentation.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor, capable of engaging positively with guests.
