Job Overview:
At Greenbacks Pawnshop, we’re all about excellent customer service and taking care of our employees. We have two locations, Belleville and Trenton. We’re looking for someone to join our team at our Belleville and Trenton locations as a Sales and Buying Associate. In this job, you’ll do the buying and selling tasks with a particular focus on customer service.

As a Sales and Buying Associate, here’s what you’ll do:

Customer Service and Engagement:

Assist customers with pawning, buying, and selling a variety of items such as electronics, jewellery, tools, and more. If you enjoy a job where every day is different and the product is never the same, this is the role for you. Having knowledge in certain areas is a plus, but don’t worry if you’re not an expert. We’ll provide hands-on training and team support to help you learn the ropes.

Operational Duties:

You’ll help make sure our store runs smoothly by following our company rules and helping to create a good experience for our customers. You’ll be trained to use our cash register and learn how to operate our POS system. We’ll support you so you feel ready, even if this is your first job in this industry.

Learn how to determine the value of different items, including musical instruments, electronics, gold jewellery, and tools. You’ll also help keep our stores merchandise tidy and looking good.

Qualifications:

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has good customer service skills and enjoys working with a team.
  • Is willing to undergo a police record check.
  • Has some experience evaluating and pricing items, but it’s not required. (Experience buying and selling on Facebook Marketplace, eBay, Kijiji, etc. is an asset. You can turn a hobby into a career!)
  • Can communicate well and get along with others.
  • Can use a computer and is familiar with cash registers/POS systems.
  • Is flexible with their schedule and can work evenings and weekends.

Pay and Benefits:

  • Starting pay between $20.00 to $24.00 per hour (Hourly rate is negotiable based on experience.)
    8–10 hour shifts
