Dishwasher

Job Overview: The Dishwasher plays a vital role in keeping our kitchen and restaurant running smoothly behind the scenes. The role ensures dishes, cookware, and work areas are clean, organized, and ready for service, while supporting the kitchen and front-of-house teams as needed. This role requires a dependable, and detail-oriented individual, who is comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-energy restaurant environment where teamwork is key.

Role and responsibilities:

· Clean and/or polish dishes, silverware, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, etc.

· Keep the dishwashing machine clean and immediately report any functional or mechanical problems to the Kitchen Manager.

• Monitor the dishwashing machine’s water temperature and chemical levels to ensure a sanitary wash cycle.
• Perform general cleaning duties, sweeping, mopping, sanitizing, recycling, taking the garbage out, etc.
• Stock and restock supplies for servers, bartenders, and kitchen team members.
• Food prep duties (you will assist cooks with some task like peeling onions, cutting tortilla for chips and others.)
• Follow instructions and perform tasks with accuracy, speed, and attention to detail.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the Kitchen Manager.

Skills & Qualifications:

· Previous experience working in the hospitality industry is an asset

• You follow instructions and perform tasks with accuracy, speed, and attention to detail.
• You are a team player, quick learner, energetic, respectful, proactive, punctual and reliable.
• You remain calm and motivated in a high-volume and fast-paced environment.
• Food Handler Certification. It is an asset.
• Ability to speak English, French and/or Spanish is an asset.

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements:

· Standing and walking for entire shifts

· Frequently bending and moving around for long periods of time

· Constant work in a standing position, bending and moving around for long periods in hot and damp environments, and lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.

· Fast paced kitchen environment around hot appliances and open flames.

• Ability to tolerate high-temperature conditions in the kitchen

· Constantly interacting with team members

· Flexibility to work weekdays, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
