Youth Habilitation Quinte Inc.’s Employment Services Program, known as Career Edge, requires an Employment Skills Coach to provide services at our Napanee Location. This is an existing full-time contract position working 35 hours per week, with a starting wage of $26.965 per hour. The contract will commence on July 27, 2026 and conclude on January 14, 2028.

We also connect people to education, training, community services and a variety of other programs. Who You Are
As an Employment Skills Coach you are a part of our Employment Services team and your passion for providing exceptional customer service contributes to guiding clients to successful outcomes including employment, training, education and/or entrepreneurship. The Employment Skills Coach supports all job seekers in actively pursuing employment through group sessions, one-on-one coaching, and workshop facilitation. This role focuses on helping clients build job search skills, increase confidence, and take meaningful action toward employment goals. You enjoy working with people, are organized, and can work effectively with a variety of software programs. This role will have you collaborating with Employment Counsellors, Employment Advisors and Employer and Community Liaisons to ensure wrap around supports are available for all clients.

Skills We’re Looking for:

·        Excellent communication skills to work with a variety of job seekers and collaborate with team members

·        Facilitation skills to deliver action-orientated employment workshops and group sessions

·        Experience working with Persons with Disabilities in employment services, social services and/or developmental services

·        Previous experience providing workplace employment coaching

·        Strong case management skills including entering accurate case notes and maintaining organized files

·        Effective time management skills to meet timelines and targets by prioritizing tasks

·        Knowledge of the local labour market, community resources and labour legislation

·        Strong computer knowledge (Microsoft Office, EOIS-CaMs, Email, Databases)

Qualifications Required:

·        College Diploma in a related field preferred

·        Minimum of two years of related experience is preferred

·        Valid driver’s licence
