Job Summary (Full-Time)

Shifts: Monday – Friday

Hours: 7am – 3pm

Location: 15 Dufferin Ave, Trenton, ON K8V 5C8

Research Casting International (RCI) is one of the world’s largest providers of Museum Technical Services, which include specimen restoration, casting, mounting, exhibit fabrication, and transportation. Our staff are dedicated to the restoration and preservation of the world’s most valuable paleontological specimens and artifacts.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Bookkeeper to support our day-to-day accounting operations. The ideal candidate has strong organizational skills, hands-on bookkeeping experience, and is comfortable working both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, payroll, employee expenses, and bank reconciliations
  • Process accounts payable postings and perform reconciliations
  • Prepare month-end entries (accruals, prepaid expenses, loans, leases)
  • Maintain accurate financial records and provide timely reporting to senior leadership
  • Track assets, apply depreciation, and oversee vendor contracts and pricing
  • Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Analyze account balances, identify variances, and provide recommendations
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning initiatives
  • Resolve accounts receivable discrepancies and ensure accurate project billing
  • Collaborate with project managers on project-specific accounting needs
  • Recommend and implement improvements to accounting processes and workflows

Qualifications

  • 2–5 years of hands-on bookkeeping experience
  • Experience with or basic knowledge of Zoho software
  • Strong proficiency in MS Excel
  • Experience with digital record keeping and physical filing systems
  • High level of attention to detail, organization, and accuracy
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
